Obituary of Antonietta Nicodemo

NICODEMO, Antonietta, on August 25, 2011 at the age of 70 years. Cherished wife of 49 years to Walter Nicodemo . Beloved mother to son John and wife Sindia, and daughter Linda. Devoted nonna to Michael and Elizabeth, Steven and Lia. Dear sister-in-law to Elizabeth and the late Jack Nicodemo and caring zia to Jim (Kim) and Lisa (Cary). Daughter of Antonio. Anna was a vibrant, active person throughout her entire life. Generous and compassionate, her kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her. For over thirty years, Anna served as a bank teller for the CIBC in Windsor, a career she truly enjoyed. She was an avid world traveler, phenomenal cook, and talented seamstress. Anna treasured her family dearly. At all times, she gladly placed their needs ahead of her own. She adored her husband, guided her children and doted on her grandchildren. Special thanks to the many individuals, family and friends, from Windsor, Chatham, Burlington, Sudbury and overseas (especially dear cousin Erminia)), who helped Anna throughout her illness by way of kind words, cards, visits, flowers, gifts and phone calls. The continued support made a profound difference during a challenging time and was greatly appreciated. To Dr. Sullivan and the staff at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Dr. Alam and the staff at the clinic, the nurses and doctors of Windsor Regional - 4th floor, the homecare nurses and specialists, the Palliative Care team and the incredible staff at the Hospice of Windsor, we extend our sincerest gratitude. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME ( Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd., East 519.253.7234 on Monday August 29, 2011 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to celebrate Anna's life will take place on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at 10:00 am in the chapel. Prayers of committal to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Hospice of Windsor, or to the 4th Floor Oncology Department at Windsor Regional Hospital, would be appreciated by the family.
