Obituary of Doreen Marcotte-Langlois

MARCOTTE - LANGLOIS, Doreen (nee Nantais) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandmother who peacefully went to be with her Lord and Saviour on August 20th, 2011 at Metropolitan Hospital. Loving wife of Paul Raymond Langlois & the late Paul Francis Marcotte (1981). Devoted & adoring mother to Mark Marcotte & wife Margaret, Julie Gaudette & husband Shawn and Matthew Marcotte. Cherished grandmother to Sean & Jennifer Marcotte and Meghan, Joshua & Jessica Gaudette. Doreen will be missed by her extended family Sandra Mullen, Donald Langlois, Peggy Johnson, Blake Langlois, Larry Marcotte, Tom Jones, Carol Wigleuk & family. Reunited with her parents William Nantais Sr. & Stella (nee Dupuis). Doreen always put her family as #1. She will be forever remembered for her charitable heart and her willingness to lend a helping hand. Doreen was a friend to many and always took the time to listen and talk with you. Dear sister to Bill Nantais ( June ), late Joseph Nantais ( Barb ), Don Nantais ( Carol ), Leah Druer ( Al ), Annabelle Norman ( late Bob ) and Charlene Milburn ( late Gord ). Loved sister in law to Lucille Bondy, Al Langlois, Jean Fortin, Bernadette Reaume and the late Madeleine Schmidt. Cherished aunt to many nieces, nephews & friends. Doreen had a very extensive career as a hairstylist starting at the age of 18, where she had built her first business in Riverside. Her dedication to others continued with her nieces Sharon & Barb who worked along side her at funeral homes in Windsor & Essex County. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Metropolitan Hospital ER Staff, 5 North staff and to EMS for responding so quickly. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (corner of Banwell & Tecumseh Rd E.) on Tuesday August 23, 2011 from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. Parish prayers Tuesday at 7:30PM. Relatives & friends are invited to gather at St. Anne's Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd E) on Wednesday August 24th, 2011 from 9:30 AM until Liturgy of Farewell ( Eulogy ) at 10:15 AM followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In memory of Doreen donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
