Obituary of Albert Paul Gauthier

GAUTHIER- Albert (Bert) 79 years peacefully with family by his side on August 3, 2011. He will be remembered for his sense of humour and his love for family and friends. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Nee McNorton) Cherished father of Cheryl Gravel (Sandy MacEachern) Debbie Bell (late Tom), Geraldine Gevaert (Camiel), Beverly Gauthier (late John Sylvestre), Bernadette Ruggaber (David), Sharron Kwaitkowski (John). Predeceased by son Paul and daughter Sheila Deziell. Survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dear son of the late Noah and Annie Gauthier. Dear brother of Norman (Pat), Ernie (late Vina), Bernard (Barb), Adeline Hatch (Bob), Lilly Ann Rock (late Francis), Helen Lajoy (Bob), Alice Tetreault (late Ed), Andrea. Predeceased by siblings , Robbie, Gil (Laurette), Jeannette Drouillard, Mary Baillargeon (Victor), Leo (Carol), Archie (Claudia). Dear son-in-law of the late Harry and Louise McNorton. Brother-in-law to Aurele Drouillard, late Virginia Forsythe (late Tom), Linda (Ray) Drouillard, Anna (Ernie) Bridgen. In his younger years Bert was a member of Maidstone Council. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2775 and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #261. Upon his retiring from the fuel oil business, he spent his time in the barn woodworking and spending time with his dogs. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (corner of Banwell and Tecumseh Rd.) on Thursday August 4, 2011 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm with Kof C prayers Thursday at 7:30pm. And Friday August 5, 2011 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm with parish prayers at 7:30pm. Relatives & friends are welcome to join Bert's family at Good Shepherd Parish (St. William's Site, Emeryville) ( 1203 Church St) on Saturday August 6 , 2011 from 9:30 AM until Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at St. Anne's Cemetery Tecumseh. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Good Shepherd Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
