Obituary of Bohdan Dan Czuchnowsky
In remembrance of Bohdan (Dan) Czuchnowsky, born March 26, 1939
Passed away after a hard fought battle with COVID-19 and Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Warsaw Poland, son of the late Michael and Leokadia Czuchnowsky, loving husband of Maria (Mica), admired father to Gregory Czuchnowsky, Adriana Girdler (Mike Girdler), Larissa Czuchnowsky (Frank Levey, deceased), Tatiana Czuchnowsky (David Thomas), sadly missed by five grandchildren (Aiden, Brenden Isaac, Leila & Sacha). Also survived by many family members in Canada, Poland & the USA. Dan was a retired Probation & Parole Officer with the Ministry of Correctional Services, he was passionate about his Ukrainian and Polish heritage and became Sub-Deacon in Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church at age 70. Dan was active in the Windsor community and had a unique ability to captivate audiences , he touched many people over the course of his life. On April 27th, Dan was admitted to the Windsor Regional Hospital Field Hospital at St. Clair College. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff Heron Terrace Long Term Care Home and to the staff at the hospital for their compassionate care of Dan, ensuring his last days were peaceful and comfortable. Dan passed away on May 4th, 2020, he will be deeply missed by friends and his loving family. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Homes (519-253-7234).
