Obituary of Jack Winter

WINTER Jack William Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday June 17, 2011 at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of 59 years to Rose Marie "Rose" (nee Lemieux). Dear father of Karey and husband Jim Menzies of Tecumseh, Ontario; Kevin Winter and wife Debbie of Belle River, Ont; Ken Winter and wife Janet; Kim and husband Chris Zappio; and Kris and wife Sue Winter, all of Tecumseh. Dear "Papa" of Robin and husband Jack McKeown; Gregory Winter, Timothy Winter and wife Roxy, Rachel and Jack Winter, Ainslee, Jocelyn and McKenzie Winter; Alex and Daniel Zappio, and Erik and Emilee Winter. Dear "Papa" of his loving great-grandaughter, "Molly Bird" Mckeown. Brother of the late Ed Winter and Bev Webb.Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mr. Winter was the former owner of Reid Industries of Windsor/Detroit; and Packaging Plus Ltd. Of Mississauga. Jack was an avid fisherman, was a longtime member of Beach Grove Golf & Country Club and will be dearly missed by Arnold Lindquist and his buddies in the Chrysler "Hot Shots" Golf League. Jack's true passion was his family, especially his grandchildren, and taking care of his "Roses". Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd., East 519.253.7234 on Sunday June 19, 2011 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Visitation to continue Monday June 20, 2011 from 9:00 am until time of service to celebrate Jack's life at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow.
