Obituary of Stanley Bernard Skoreski

SKORESKI, Stanley Bernard. Better known as "Smokey" Passed away peacefully on April 21, 2011 at Malden Park Continuing Care, with his loving daughter Dana holding his hand. Reunited with his loving wife Eleanor (2004) and precious grandson Christopher Salvador (2010), father Kashmir, mother Nellie and brother Walter. Will be sadly missed by loving daughter Dana Salvador and husband Sante, cherished grandson Donald, brothers Theodore and Henry "Chick" Skoreski, special sister-in-law, Sharon Polyak and brother-in-law Charles Polyak, special niece Jodi Vanacker and special nephew Mark Skoreski, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and good friends, and especially his golf buddies at Fox Glen Golf Club. Smokey will be remembered for his smile, sense of humour, courage and positive outlook no matter what challenge he faced in life. He received approximately 100 units of blood in his last 2 years of life and it is his wish that family and friends would donate blood to help save other lives. A special thank you to the nurses on the Palliative Care Unit at Malden Park for their patience, understanding, compassion and exceptional care provided to Smokey and his family.
