Obituary of Ronald Nelson

Nelson, Ronald Gordon It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our loving father and grandfather, Ronald Gordon Nelson on March 24th, 2011 at 75 years of age. Reunited again with the love of his life, his late wife Gayanne (2009). Proud and loving father of Wayne and Linda Nelson, Kyle and Lisa Nelson, Shelley and David Wiseman and Kimberly Anne Nelson. Adored "papa" of Christopher, Caroline, Kelley, Mitchell, Carley, Allison, Jacob, and Shannon. Predeceased by his parents, Captain Manly and Margaret Nelson, and in-law's Frank Hickson and Dorothy McKinnon. Brother in law to Hilton and Millie Hickson, Raymond Hickson, Darlene and Gary Dupuis, Gordon Hickson and the late George and Shirley Hickson. Ron was a retired Local 444 member. Ron loved to be with family and friends and always had a good joke or silly ditty to share with others. He will be missed by many neighbours, friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. His kind, giving, and "kibitzing" nature was a gift to all who knew him. He enjoyed his Tuesday night card club and took pride in cleaning, polishing and driving his convertible cars. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 253-7234, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. ( corner of Banwell & Tecumseh Rd E.) on Wednesday March 30, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service Thursday March 31, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
