Obituary of Zvonko Cavlovic

CAVLOVIC, Zvonko. 82 years. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a loving Husband, Father and Deda on March 3, 2011 at W.R.H., Metropolitan Campus. Born in Volavje, Hrvatska on October 12, 1928. Beloved Husband for 60 years to Dragica (nee Staresincic). Loving and devoted Tata to Stephanie and husband Mijo Bakic, Joanne and husband Antony Blazevic, and Mary Anne and husband Paul Henderson. Cherished Deda and loving friend to Christopher and wife Kata Bakic, Jennifer and husband Daniel Senjanin, A.J., Jonny and James Blazevic, Katey and Mary Henderson. Dear Brother to Marica and husband Ivan Gojmerac. Predeceased by parents Max and Angela Cavlovic, and sister Durdica. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Croatia. Zvonko was a carpenter and master cabinet maker who took great pride in his work and accomplishments. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local #494, St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church and an active member in the Croatian community. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (corner of Banwell & Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm. Parish prayers at 8 pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 8:45 am from the Banwell Chapel then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
