Obituary of Peter Wuschenny

WUSCHENNY, PETER JULY 24, 1932 - MARCH 1, 2011 Peter passed away peacefully with his loving wife and best friend of over 38 years by his side. Cherished husband of Sandra ( nee Magee ), beloved father of Sheri & Bill Bailey and Rod Wuschenny, most loved Grandpa of Jason and Michael Bailey, and devoted dog dad to Yorkies Mandy & Corey & " Grampy " to Yorkies Abbey & Emma. Predeceased by his brother John Wuschenny ( Feb 6, 2010 ) & survived by many nieces and nephews. Peter was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan & was a former Merchant Marine & a proud retiree of the GM Transmission Plant ( Gauge Repair ), and a die hard Montreal Canadiens Fan. A profound thank you to all who honoured Peter's wishes & allowed him to live his final days with compassion & dignity. To the entire 6N Nursing Staff at Windsor Regional, especially Nurse Holly; Dr. Gordon Giddings, and everyone at Hospice Residential. In honour of Peter's wishes a private family service followed by cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice of Windsor & Essex County - Hospice Residential would be appreciated by the family ( envelopes available at the funeral home ). Daddy - Jason & Baby Michael will grow up knowing they were the twinkle in your eyes, the smile upon your face & the laughter that escaped your lips. Of all your titles, Grandpa was the one you wore most proudly and we are most proud to be your wife, children and grandchildren.
