Obituary of Rose Gerace

GERACE, Rose ( nee Geraci ) With saddened hearts, we express her peaceful passing on February 9th , 2011 at Hospice Residential, embraced by her loving daughters. Her faithfulness as a Christian Mother and her devotion to her Grandchildren, will live forever in each of our hearts. Reunited with her beloved Husband Saverio ( 1977 ). Cherished Mother of Janet Macera & husband Tony and Gioia Caro & husband Dino. Predeceased by her parents Vincenzo & Gioia Geraci. Devoted & Adoring Nonna to Rosemarie, Jackie, Steven, Nicholas and Daniel. Loving sister of Frances Demarco ( 1997) and her husband Tony ( 1995), Concetta Calarco ( 2009) and her husband Nino ( 2009), Teresa Argiro ( 2006) and survived by husband Pietro, Anna Armaleo and her husband Pino ( 2010 ) , Maria Codispoti and her late husband Louis ( 1981). Dear Sister in law of Franca Zamparini and Pirro - Italy. Beloved Zia to many nieces and nephews. With a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love, she served her family, her grandchildren & our community. As a proud retiree of Butcher Engineering, she continued her volunteering efforts at the Heart & Stroke Foundation , and through her active participation in the St. Angela Merici Catholic Women's League and the Caboto's Ladies Club. A heartfelt thankyou to the untiring staff and volunteers at Hospice for your compassionate care and support during her last days. Visiting at The WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) ( 519 -253-7234 ) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. ( corner of Banwell & Tecumseh Rd East ) Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and Friday 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. Parish prayers Friday at 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM from the Banwell Chapel, then to St. Anne's Church ( 12233 Tecumseh Rd E.) for funeral mass at 10:30 AM.
