Obituary of Martha Cecile

CECILE, Martha ( nee Demers ) Passed away peacefully at Extendicare (Tecumseh), on November 22, 2010 at the age of 95 years. Loving wife of Remie sharing 72 years of marriage. Dear mother of Jeanne and Melvin Orr, and the late Gerard (2002) (Sharron-Roger Lemire) and second mother to Shirley (Richard Wilton). Predeceased by sister Dorothy Quenneville and brother Edgar. Born in Staples Ontario, the daughter of Ovila Demers and Eva (St. Onge). She later moved to Tecumseh where she met and married Remie on November 23, 1938 at Ste. Anne's Church. Martha was an excellent seamstress, cook, and decorator. She loved spending time in Florida and travelling with her husband, family and friends. Parish prayers Thursday at 4:30 PM. Funeral service to celebrate Martha's life will be held on Friday November 26, 2010 at Ste. Anne's Church - Tecumseh (12233 Tecumseh Rd E) from 10:00 AM until time of Martha's funeral mass at 10:30 AM, with Martha's nephew, Fr. Gerry Campeau officiating. Interment Ste. Anne's Cemetery.
