Obituary of Elizabeth Edna Sylvestre

SYLVESTRE, Elizabeth "Betty" ( nee Chittle ) Passed away peacefully on November 3, 2010 with family by her side at the age of 87. Joined with her lover, bestfriend and husband Leonard ( 2008 ). Loving mother , teacher and friend to John Sylvestre (Bev), James Sylvestre (Jeannette), Mary Edna Marion (Dan), Dennis Sylvestre (Sharon), and Mary Jane O'Keefe (Mike). Adored grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 more soon to arrive and 1 great great grandchild. Loving daughter of the late John & Edna Chittle. Dear sister of Bernard, Lenard, Robert, Bernice McCrea , Bernadette Chittle and predeceased by Rosemary Ducharme, John Jr. and Edward. Mrs. Sylvestre was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women's League - St. Anne's Church - Tecumseh, 10 year Chartered Member of the Tecumseh Ladies Council ( TLC ) of the Tecumseh - Knights of Columbus Council 4375. and the Alhambra. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOMES LTD. ( Banwell Chapel ) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. ( 519-253-7234) ( corner of Banwell & Tecumseh Rd E.) on Thursday from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 pm. Catholic Womens League prayers Thursday afternoon at 3:00pm and Parish prayers Thursday evening at 8:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Betty's life on Friday November 5, 2010 at St. Anne's Church - Tecumseh ( 12233 Tecumseh Rd E. ) for visitation from 9:30 AM until time of funeral mass at 10:30 AM.
