Obituary of Ivan Mahovlich

MAHOVLICH, Ivan It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of a loving Husband, Father and "Dida" on October 10, 2010 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 43 years to Mary (nee Zoretich). Loving and devoted father to John Mahovlich and wife Nancy, Maryann Nalkranian and husband George. Cherished "Dida" to Alexis, Marko and Taline. Predeceased by parents Ivan and Magda Mahovlich. Dear brother to Dragica Cunic (Frank) and family of Toronto, Zorica Relic (Janko) and family of Windsor, Pera Mahovlich (Ana) and family of Croatia, Ankica Kelic (Mijo) and family of Windsor, Slavica Horvatin (late Joza) and family of Toronto. Predeceased by sisters Danica, Kata, Ana, Dragica and brothers Franjo and Jure. Dear son in-law to the late Ivan and Barbara Zoretich. Dear brother-in-law to Zlatko Zoretich (Slavica) and family of Croatia, Misko Zoretich (Stanka) and family of Mississauga, Ivica Zoretich (Anka) and family of Mississauga, Katica Ivancak (Josip) and family of Stoney Creek, Mira Tomek (Marjan) and family of Welland. Dear nephew to Kata Bubanko of Welland. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives in Canada and Croatia. Ivan was a retired employee from National Radiator with 36 and half years of dedicated service and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church. In his pastime, Ivan enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Ipperwash where he savoured the beautiful outdoors that nature had to offer. Lastly, Ivan enjoyed spending time with his family, and with his long-time friend and neighbour, Hermann Marlovits (Rose) and their family. Family and friends will be received at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOMES LTD. (BANWELL CHAPEL) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East (corner of Tecumseh Rd. East and Banwell Rd. 519-253-7234) on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Parish prayers Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
