Obituary of Joseph Leonard Hamelin

HAMELIN, Leonard Joseph Passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2010 in his 89th year, surrounded in the presence of his loving family. Beloved husband of 67 years to Helen ( nee Sinal ). Loving father to Richard and wife Joanne, Ronald and wife Judy, Linda and husband Walter Mallat, Danny and wife Michelle; and youngest son David. Cherished grandpa to 12 grandchildren , 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother in law to Edward and Bev Sinal and Dorothy Sinal. Leonard was a retired employee of Chrysler Canada and a member of C.A.W. Local 444. Leonard was also a veteran serving at Camp Borden. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOMES LTD. ( BANWELL CHAPEL ) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. on Friday July 2, 2010 from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. Parish prayers Friday at 3:30 PM, and a Veteran's service under the Auspices of the Windsor Veteran's Memorial Service Committee Friday at 7:30 PM. On Saturday, July 3, 2010 relatives and friends are invited to join the family at St. Anne's Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd E.) from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Alzheimers Society of Windsor - Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
