Obituary of Tullio Vitella

VITELLA, Tullio Passed away peacefully on March 24, 2013 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital at the age of 93 years. Reunited with his beloved wife Palma (2007). Loving father of Severino "Steve" Vitella and wife Cory of Georgetown, ON., late Frank Vitella (2002) and surviving wife Sandra of Warren MI. and Anna Recine and husband Alessio "Alex" of Windsor. Cherished Nonno to: Robert, Brian (Metis), Stephen, Gina (Ringo), Marisa, Michael, John, and Sara (David). Bis-Nonno to Josephine, Bethany, Chiara, Giovanna, Devan and Garrett. Predeceased by parents Giovanni and Filomena Vitella, and brothers Tomasso (Vincenza), Antonio (Maria), Onorio and surviving wife Annita and Pio (Maria). Dear Son-in law of the late Pompilio (1990) and Benedetta (1969) D'Andrea. Dear brother-in-law to the late Clara (Mario), Aldo and wife Maria D'Andrea and the late Flora. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, France, England and U.S.A. He served his country proudly during WW II. After the war he immigrated to Canada to make a better life for his family. Tullio thoroughly enjoyed spending time in his garden, making wine in his cellar, travelling and spending time with his cherished friends. He was a proud founding member of the Ciocario Club of Windsor and the Senior Citizens Centre on Erie St. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (Main Chapel) 253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Monday March 25, 2013 from 3 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Parish prayers Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
