Obituary of Marion Scutchings

SCUTCHINGS, Marion (nee McMillan) August 16, 1920 (Windsor, ON) - March 20, 2013 (Whitby, ON) at Sunnycrest Nursing Home at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband George Walker Scutchings. Cherished mother of Doreen (Keith) Williams of Pickering, ON., and Kathleen (Larry) Cowan of Pitt Meadows, BC. Loving Grandmother of Heather (Kerry) Johnson of Pickering, ON., Bryan (Jennifer) Williams of Westphal, NS., Sandra (Jeff) Daviss of Port Coquitlam, BC., and Gillian Cowan of Surrey, BC. Great-grandmother of Breanna and Joshua Williams of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by parents Frederick and Janet McMillan. Dear sister of Edna (Vicary), Jack (Peggy) McMillan, Marjorie (Ralph) Fletcher, Jean (Couloufis), and predeceased by Gordon (McMillan), and Irene (Fregin). Marion will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends that she made throughout her life in Windsor, Toronto, Pickering, and Whitby. The family are very grateful for the loving care she received at Sunnycrest Nursing Home especially during the last few weeks of her life. A loving and gentle lady throughout her life, Marion died peacefully with Doreen by her side. She will be missed but we are comforted by the fact that her faith was and is a comfort to her and she is dwelling in the house of our Lord and Saviour. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation to Sleeping Children Around the World would be appreciated by the family.
