Obituary of Luigi Pellarin
PELLARIN Luiigi (Louis) "Gigi" August 7, 1925-February 2, 2013 The last page of this chapter has now been written, the chapter ended and this book has been closed. At present a new book is taking shape, new chapters are developing as new pages are being written. It is about a very ordinary man, but at the same time a very, very special individual. Louis lived his life by two guiding principles-work hard doing your utmost best at all times; and be willing to lend a helping hand to others. God rewarded him with a long and full life. Louis immigrated to Canada in 1949 with a suitcase in hand. With a strong faith in the almighty, unbounding determination, infinite resourcefulness and deep passion to make his dreams a reality, Louis left his imprint on those he encountered, the things he worked on and whatever he touched. Now, he will continue to live on in the hearts of his wife of 64 years, Maria (nee Celotto), his children Rick and Della, and Gloria. His grandchildren, Jesse and Holly ( children Mia, Wyatt), Kory, Adam, Ricky ans Alanna (children Avalina, Marciano), Eric, Aaron and Deana. Gigi always looked forward to his weekly phone call to his last surviving brother, Monseigneur Giuseppe Pellarin (Italy) and continued to do such onto his final week. Gigi touched many lives over the years, and all are better persons for having known him. The family would like to send out a very heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of WRH-Met Campus, especially Dr. Hermiz and all of the nurses (angels)! Of 4th Floor Oncology, who made Dad feel loved and comfortable. A Memorial Mass to celelbrate Gigi's life will be held on Friday March 1, 2013 at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Church, 1248 County Rd., 34 in Maidstone, Ontario. All are welcome.
