Obituary of Jean Dzugan
DZUGAN Jean (nee Olekseuk) Passed away peacefully, following a lengthy illness, at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus on Thursday February 21, 2013 at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife and best friend of 54 years to Andy Dzugan. Dear mother of Roger Dzugan, and Rod Dzugan and wife Bernadette, all of Windsor. Dear Grandma of Jillian Rose, " Her Number 1", and Sofia Jean, "Grandma's Piece of Work". Sister of Caroline Savi of Port Charlotte, Florida. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Helen Hall & Sandra Bell for the assistance, love and compassion shown to Mom and our family throughout the years. Jean was a longtime member of Essex Golf & Country Club where she not only played, but was active in many committees, and assisted in the organization of many tournaments, both amateur and professional. She will be dearly missed by many fellow members and friends. At her request, a private family service with cremation has taken place. Jean's request was that donations, if desired, be made to the charity of your choice. The family of Jean Dzugan would like to express their heartfelt thanks to our family, relatives and friends, for all their many prayers, loving support, acts of kindness, floral tributes, charitable donations, cards, and food which were greatly appreciated. A sincere thank you, for the compassionate care given by the warm and caring doctors and nurses, at Met Hospital - CCU/ICU. Also many thanks, to the staff at La Chaumi"re Retirement Residence, for their care during mom"s stay. Thank you generously to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Main Chapel) for their compassion and understanding during this difficult time. Jean was a dear wife, incredible mother, a very special grandma and a loving sister. Mom"s vibrant nature, giving heart and generous contributions to our community will always be remembered. Her zest for life touched many and will truly be missed. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jean"s wonderful life on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 1-5 p.m. at Place Concorde (7515 Forest Glade Dr. Windsor).
