Obituary of Danute Stephani Pliskevicius

PLISKEVICIUS, Danute "Donna" (nee Kozulis) January 11, 1945 " January 29, 2013 At 68 years young, our beautiful Donna peacefully escaped to her final resting place with family and friends by her side at WRH on January 29, 2013. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her soul mate, best friend and devoted husband Vytas Pliskevicius and her adoring children Algis Pliskevicius, Julija (Chris) Lackner and Kristina Pliskevicius (Jeff Rivait). Grandchildren Milanija and Makalija Lackner will forever miss their playful loving Ciute and her treats very much. Donna is predeceased by her mother Birute Kozulis and is survived by her loving father Antanas Kozulis, brother Romas (Nancy) Kozulis and brothers-in-law Peter (Lynda) Pliskevicius and Johnny (Cathy) Pliskevicius. Donna is now reunited with her sister in law Birute Ellul and brother in law Algis (Shorty) Pliskevicius. Donna will never be forgotten by her numerous nieces and nephews of Hamilton and Windsor-Essex. Before retiring in the year 2000, Donna was a devoted school teacher for the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board for 35 years. She loved singing, telling jokes, gardening, travelling, volunteering, hosting family dinners and babysitting her two granddaughters. Donna was the backbone of her family, always giving so freely of herself and never asking for anything in return. She made our lives sparkle with happiness and glisten with laughter. We are so lucky to have known her and even luckier to have been loved by her. A special thank you to Dr. Kenneth Schneider, Pauline and the nurses of 4 west for their remarkable care. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon in the Chapel.
