Obituary of Antonio Pallisco

PALLISCO, Antonio (Tony) It is with broken hearts that we announce his peaceful passing on January 16, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of 59 years to Iole (nee Torti), adored father of Rita Pallisco, Dina & Jim Culos, Linda Pallisco (Decarolis) & David and Dawn Pallisco. Cherished Nonno of Jason (2004), Karl, Michael, Natalie, Mary Lynne, Trevor and Randy. Predeceased by his parents Domenico and Liberata Pallisco, parents-in law Federico and Maria Torti, and sister Fiorinda Torti (Luigi), brother Raffaele Pallisco (Paris), sister Santina Delicata (Giuseppe) and brother in-law Guiseppe Iacoboni (Paris). Loving brother of Iolanda Iacoboni (Paris), Mario & Maria Pallisco, Alberico & Maria Pallisco, and sister in-law Maria Pallisco (Paris). Cherished brother- in law of Adriano & Antonietta Torti and Fernando & Rita Torti. Also survived and lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Canada and France. He was born in Atina, Italy. He was a decorated Italian WWII Veteran. Tony came to Canada in 1952 to begin a new life and was a renowned and well respected home builder for over 50 years in Windsor & Essex County with Pallisco Brothers Ltd. He was a member of the Ciociaro Club of Windsor and the Italian War Veterans Association. Nothing made Tony happier than enjoying his homemade wines, tending to his bountiful garden and spending time with his children and grandchildren and sharing in the achievements of his family & friends. He was a proud Canadian citizen who cheered loyally for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Anne Church, Tecumseh (12233 Tecumseh Rd. E.) for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass to celebrate Tony's life at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, donations to the Critical/ I.C.U. at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus or the Canadian Lung Association are appreciated. The family wishes to recognize the superb Staff of Paramedics with Windsor-Essex EMS and the Nursing Staff of the Metropolitan Hospital, both E.R. Dept. and C.C.U. for the care afforded to Tony.
