Obituary of Frank Skocaj
SKOCAJ, Frank
It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, surrounded by his loving family on April 25, 2020 at Hospice of Windsor, at the age of 85. Beloved husband to Anna (nee Novinscak) with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage filled with love and travel. Loving father to Brian (Kristin). Cherished grandfather and the love of his life were Natalie, Gina and Olivia Skocaj. Frank retired from Chrysler after 30 years of dedicated service as a maintenance supervisor. He was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. Frank enjoyed his cottage, flowers, green grass and the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting with his dear friend Ivica. He will be forever missed in the hearts of his family and many friends for the wonderful and cherished memories spent together. A heartfelt thank you to WRH, Met. Campus doctors and nurses, and staff at Hospice of Windsor for their exceptional and compassionate care provided to Frank and his family. Our sincere appreciation is especially extended to Monica Staley-Liang for her care and generosity provided to Frank and Anna. Private family visitation was held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7234. A graveside committal service followed at Heavenly Rest Cemetery with Fr. Ljubo Lebo of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church officiating. A memorial mass will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church (1701 Turner Rd, Windsor) at a later date. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Frank's life, donations may be made directly to a Charity of your choice. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has instituted the following directive: "The new maximum number of people who can be at a funeral home at one time (not including staff) is 10 or fewer. This pertains to the entire funeral home."
