Obituary of Josip Ponekovich

PONEKOVICH, Josip "Joe" Passed away on November 28, 2012 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus with his loving wife by his side at 70 years of age. Beloved husband to Bozena (nee Kacurova) with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage. Loving father to Debbie Lewis and husband Andrew of Windsor, Melissa Ponekovich of San Antonio, Texas, and Jennifer Ponekovich of Royal Oak, MI. Cherished grandfather "Deda" to Julia Marie and Jake Mark Lewis. Josip will be missed by many cousins and relatives in Canada and Croatia. Joe was a retired electrician from Chrysler after 32 years of dedicated service and was a member of C.A.W. Local 444. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 8 p.m. Cremation to follow.
