In a lifetime you meet many people but, in that same lifetime, you don't meet many people who leave a lasting impact on your life. Last year I attended a fundraising dinner for the Dragon Boats who support fundraising for breast cancer. My mother and I were fortunately seated with an unforgettable couple who were so spirited and fun-loving that I found I watned to spend more time geting to know htem because of their enuusiam and positive outlook. Needless to say, that couple was Dave and Roberta. A couple yimes after meeting them, I stopped by their shop on Erie Street just to say "hi" and catch up on what was happening in their lives. I never, in a milion years, expected that Dave's cancer would recur and, when I found out from his niece, Shirley, that he was sick, was shocked and saddened. Roberta, I am so sorry for your loss but, at the same time, am so happy that I was able to meet both you and Dave and able to experience the zest for life that the two of you shared. I loved meeting you both and sharing your enthusiasm. Thank you to Kathie Stevens for introducing us to you. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask. Actually, my mom and I stopped by Tiramisu yesterday afteroon to see how you were doing but the shop was closed. Roberta, I wish you peace and comfort as you deal with your loss.
