Obituary of Giuseppe Tedesco

TEDESCO, Giuseppe It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father, nonno, great and great great nonno on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the age of 96. Predeceased by his wife Angelina (Nee Spadafora) (2010). Father to Antonio Tedesco (Rosemary), Isabella Zanchetta (Fioravante), Frank Tedesco (Chiara), Rosa White, Tommaso Tedesco (Cathy), and John Tedesco (Teresa). Cherished nonno of 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Dear brother to Antonietta Bonasso (Salvatore), the late Angelina Mancina and (the late Frank), Maria Campanaro and (the late Antonio). Brother in-law to Francesco Spadafora (Maria), the late Caterina Loria and (the late Francesco), the late Maria Guglielmo and (the late Antonio), the late Rosetta Rondinella (Luigi), Giovanni Spadafora (Franca) all of Italy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, US and Italy. Giuseppe emigrated from Italy in 1950 after working for the Canadian Rock Salt Co., he joined the family in founding of Milano and co-founder of Franco"s Restaurant. Giuseppe enjoyed gardening, sharing the knowledge and the fruit of his labour with all. Giuseppe enjoyed getting together with friends at the Caboto Club to play a game of cards, and have an espresso. Thank you to the many friends that supported our father in friendship that went beyond the call of duty. The family would also like to thank all at Huron Lodge Nursing Home for taking excellent care of our father. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. (Between Lincoln and Kildare) on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
