Obituary of Roderick Beaton

BEATON, Roderick "Roddie" It is with great sadness the family of Roderick announces his passing on January 21, 2012 in his 81st year with family by his side. Born in West Bay Road, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Dougald and Katie Anne (Mac Donald) Beaton. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Florence (MacDonald) (2007). Loving father of Doug, Jean Embree and husband Jerry, Sean and wife Jodie. Loving papa to Megan and Katie Embree, Ryan, Shane, Colin and Andrew Beaton. Predeceased by sisters and brother-in-laws Annie and Joe Mac Dougall, Mary Beaton, Margaret and Thomas Jamieson and brother John Alec Beaton. Brother in-law of Etta (late D.A. MacDonald) , Donna (late I.D. MacDonald), Isabelle (late Kenneth Joseph MacDonald), Helen (late Alexander MacDonald), (late Mary Catherine and Hughie MacEachern), Rita Gillis, Theresa and Archie MacDonald, Anne and Gerard MacMaster, Collie and Catherine MacDonald, John Francis MacDonald and Mary MacDonald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roderick was retired from G.M. Trans. (1985) after 35 years of service and a member of CAW Local 1973.
