QUAGGIOTTO, Umberto It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Nonno and Bis-Nonno. Umberto was surrounded by his loving family and peacefully entered Eternal Life on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the age of 87. He was born March 8, 1924 in Poggiana di Riese, Treviso, Italy. Loving Husband of 60 years to Maria Quaggiotto (Caon). Beloved father of Franco and Mary Quaggiotto, Livio and Rosa Quaggiotto. Adored "Nonno" of Paul & Sandra, Michael & Martina, Lisa and fiance Anthony DiPonti, Jessica, and Daniel Quaggiotto. Treasured "Bis-Nonno" of Giovanni, and Nico. Predeceased by parents Maria Visentin and Michel Quaggiotto and in-laws Romilda and Giuseppe Caon. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Elio & Cecilia Quaggiotto; Nino Piccinin; Giaccinto & Norina Caon; Ada & Luis Rulla (Australia); Pia Caon & Aldo Zen (Italy), Virgilio & Lydia Caon (Australia), Flora Caon (Australia); the late Rita & Virgilio Bernardi; the late Primo Visentin; the late Giovanni; the late Giovanina Rosa; the late Theresa & Angelo Favaro; the late Clara Piccinin, the late Guido Caon, and the late Elly Caon. He will be deeply and sadly missed by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy and Australia. Umberto was the founder and owner of Caboto Construction Ltd. and was well respected by the construction industry. Dad will be fondly remembered for his garden, beautiful yards, and his homemade wine. He was a long time member of the Giovanni Caboto Club and the Trevisani Nel Mondo. We would like to express gratitude for the kindness, comfort, and compassionate care given to all of us by the wonderful Dr.'s, nurses in the Emergency Dept. and CCU especially Colleen at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus and all the staff at the Windsor Cancer Clinic. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E 519-253-7234 on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
