Obituary of Ana Mihelic

MIHELIC, Ana (nee Pekic) Passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 5, 2011 at Rose Garden Villa at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the Late Mijo (1965) of Croatia. Loving and devoted mother to Ivan Mihelic and wife Ljubica, Ljubica Draskovich and late husband Josip (2003). Cherished "Baka" to the late Margaret Draskovich (2010), John and wife Bessie Mihelic, David and wife Wendy Draskovich. Gremica and Baka Ana to Alek Mihelic and Katalina Draskovich. Predeceased by sister Bara Pavlic and husband Ivan of Croatia, brother Petar Pekic and wife Magdalena of Cleveland, Ohio. Dear sister-in-law to the late Josip and wife Zora Mihelic of Croatia, Bara and Miko Veselic of Slovenija. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A., Croatia and Slovenija. Ana was a faithful and devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Rose Garden Villa for their compassionate care provided to Ana and her family. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel 253-7234) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday September 7, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Wednesday at 8 pm. Funeral Services on Thursday September 8, 2011 at 9:45 am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund or Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
