Obituary of Anna Liisa Schroll

SCHROLL, Anna Liisa (nee Jalo)(Christensen) Liisa passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving and devoted family, on August 8, 2011 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Jim for 64 years. Cherished mother of Liisa Ryan (Don), Sheila Lockhart (David) and Jim (Bonnie). Loving grandma to Scott, Jennifer, Dana, Sarah and Jarrod. Great grandma to Emma, Victoria and Khye. Beloved daughter of the late Jaakko and Greta Jalo. Sister to the late Bill Christensen. Adored niece of the late Hilma and Victor Wanhala and extended family in Finland. Liisa had worked for many years in Detroit, Michigan as an Aviation Underwriter insuring aircraft. Liisa's positive outlook and zest for life was truly inspiring to all that knew and loved her. She lived her life with grace and dignity. The family would like to thank Windsor Regional Hospital for their care and support in her final days. In accordance with Liisa's wishes, there will be no service. A private interment has taken place. A celebration of Liisa's life will take place at a later date.
