So VERY sorry to hear of Dayana's passing. We grew up together as young children and we were best friends in our Grade School days at St. Vincent De Paul. Our parents were close as well. MANY hours were spent with our Fathers - Ivan ( Lukic -Deceased) and Striko Stipe on the porch talking about Croatia. Our Mothers, Ana (Deceased) and Teta Mira cooked and baked quite often together over many years. As myself and my brothers Joe (deceased) and Luka grew up on Glendale Avenue - there was always a back and forth between Glendale and Ferndale. I remember great memories and great friendship with dear Dayana for many years! She was always such a great friend to me...kind, caring and there for me ..even recently... I will NEVER forget when she came to Windsor Chapel to pay respect to my dear Mama , Ana who passed away ( March 25, 2019) even though Dayana was battling her own illness! Dayana's incredible strength, caring for me and my family was incredible. Her beautiful smile, hug and care for me and my family will NEVER be forgotten! To the Kokic and Scalzo families , we the Lukic family share in your loss. Our sincere Condolences to you all. Draga Dayana, Pocivaj u Miru Rest in peace dear Dayana xo Marijana Lukic and family

Dear George, Matt, Natalie and Anthony, I am so very sorry for the loss of Dayana. I remember her vividly coming to parent-teacher interview. She had such a shine to her! Matt and Natalie! I have a favourite saying from Winnie the Pooh that I love and I read when I think of my mom who passed away. It goes like this: If ever there is a tomorrow when we are not together, there is something you must remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. But, the most important thing is Even if we are apart I'll always be with You! Take care of your dad and brother. I miss you guys! Love Mme Bernabo

I was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Dayana. She was an amazing woman who loved her family and was always there to help or share a joke. I was fortunate to know her from the interactions with her while I taught or coached her children at St. Bernard School in Windsor. She would always be there to help drive the kids to various sporting events at the school or volunteer her time to help with the snack program or special school food events. There was even a time that she lent me her roof rack for one of my trips to Florida. She raised three beautiful children whom she loved deeply and was very proud of. My condolences to George, Matthew, Natalie, Anthony and the entire Scalzo and Kokic families. Keep you in my prayers, Cary Maheux
