ELLWOOD, EVELYN MARIE (nee Garant) Born on December 27, 1916 Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 19, 2011 at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the late William Allan (2007). Cherished mother of John (Grace), Orville (Marie) of Leamington, Richard (late June), Bernadette Casey, Theresa Beneteau (Paul), Dolores Shaw (Russell) or Orleans, Allan (Anne) of Tilden Lake, Marilyn Maddison (Michael), and Thomas (Geraldine) of Leamington. Daughter of the late Telesphore (1972) and Maria nee Jacques (1968). Sister of the late Fred, Laura Nantais, Odile Thibert, Lena Renaud, Blanche (Hilda) Thibert, Edna Caza, Nelson, Elenore Lefevre, Adelard, Henry, Isadore, Israel, Dorina Renaud and Trefle (Pete). Best Meme to 27 grandchildren (2 deceased), 43 great grandchildren, and 18 great great-grandchildren. Sister in-law of Gordon Ellwood, Norma Varos, Violet and Van Robert, Gladys Richards and Gloria and Bob Hiscott. Evelyn was a member of Most Precious Blood Church Catholic Women's League, the Golden Age Club, and bowled with the Happy Gang Bowling League for many years. She was an excellent self-taught seamstress, known for her extreme kindness and generosity to her family, friends, neighbours and extended families, she was also a wonderful cook and a great pie maker. E. on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to meet on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum St) at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. In kindness donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Winsor-Essex or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
