Obituary of Augusto Piagno

PIAGNO, Augusto It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Augusto on April 28, 2011 at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband to Regina Elizabetta Piagno (Dazzan), married June 16, 1951. Loving father to Roy Piagno and wife Wava, Yvette Zemora and Augustin (October 2006). Dear Nonno to Dayna, Sara (Dan), Justin, Matthew, and Kristina. Predeceased by his parents Giovanni (1959) and Antonia (April 28, 1989). Dear brother to Antonio (Primo) and Elena of Italy, Luiga and Peter Danelon of Windsor, and Virginio (2004) and Giacomina of Italy. Dear uncle of Dennis (Emily), Lori (Rick) and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and family from Italy, France and Canada. Augusto was a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union Local #6 since October 1954 and was also a founding member of the Fogolar Furlan. Augusto came to Canada in 1951 and worked as a Bricklayer for most of his life with many different construction companies. A special thanks to the staff of C.C.A.C. St. Elizabeth and Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday April 29, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayer at 4:30 p.m. Family and friends to gather here at the Windsor Chapel on Saturday April 30, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
