Obituary of Ronald James Westwood

WESTWOOD, Ronald (Ron) (Ronnie) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron on April 27, 2011 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital at the age of 57. Beloved husband to Denise. Cherished father of the late Janice (2000). Predeceased by his parents John and Gladys. Dear brother to the late Judy (1970), (Ross) and Byron. Dear uncle to nephews Ricky, late Steve, Eric and (Erin), Pte. Patrick Cushing, great-nephew baby Linkin, nieces Karie, Tara and Cristie. Will be missed by brothers in-law Pat and Howard, sisters in-law Debbie and Diane, mother in-law Adrienne and late father in-law Leo (2004). Ron was an employee at General Motors Transmission plant for 29 years. He worked in several departments. Ron has been retired for 2 years and had taken up fishing in his free time with buddies Pete Munro and Ricky Brown. Special thanks to Dr. Steven Berecz, Dr. Walter Cassidy, Dr. Farjalla, Dr. Nour and also the caring nurses at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital on 6 West. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness donations may be made to Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital for construction of a palliative room in memory of Ron.
