Obituary of Rose May Duquette

DUQUETTE, Rose May (Mae) (nee Rivait) With her family by her side peacefully on April 1, 2011 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman (1984). Loving mother of the late Douglas Duquette (1991), Donna Somossy, Babara Dunne and the late Pat (2005), Carol Lajeunesse and Linda Hawken. Cherished Grandma and Mimi Duke of Alison-Jean Duquette, Deborah and Bernie Beaudin, Doug Dunne, the late Diane Dunne (1968), Denise Quigley, Darryl Dunne and Betty Ann, Mark Hawken and Laine Lee, and Tim Hawken. Dear Great Grandmother to Alysha, Carly Rose, D.J., Ashlee, Christian, Shawn, Dayna, Tyler, Jessica, Jason, Joshua and Benjamin. Predeceased by her parents Esdras (1949) and Rose (1951) and her sisters Loretta Secret (1999), Lena LaPorte (1980) and Blanche Trothen (2003). Survived by 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Rose was an avid card player belonging to the Golden Age Club in Tecumseh, Most Precious Blood, K of C Lauzon, R.C.L. Br. 255, Place Concorde, Church of the Atonement and was a member of the C.W.L. at St. Rose Church. A special thank you to all the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh for their excellent care given to Rosie. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Family and friends to gather on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St.) from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In kindness donations may be made to Mutiple Sclerosis Society or the Arthritis Society.
