Obituary of Gerald LaMarre

La Marre Gerald. Died at 89 years of age at his residence in Windsor. Gerry was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Kay (O'Neil). He was the youngest son of the late George and Emilia LaMarre, and brother of the late Roger, Louis and Gil (Morin). After serving in the Canadian Army, Gerry spent most of his working life at Canada Post where he was known as a conscientous worker and a gentleman. Following his retirement, he took up golf and bowling, and was good at both. Gerry was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and Alhambra.. While somewhat reclusive in his later years,He was proud of his independence , the ability to look after himself, and being able to live on his own. He is survived by his sister in law Georgina Bedard of Amherstburg, and nephews Maurice, Dennis, Leonard, Reginald and Robert. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service and interment with his wife Kay, will take place at Assumption Cemetery in the spring.
