Obituary of Lawrence Angus

ANGUS, Lawrence "Gus" Passed into the arms of the Lord on January 6, 2011 with his family by his side at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Edna for 65 years. Cherished father to Karen and husband Mike, Larry and wife Vicki, Lynne Robbins, Pam and husband Art, and Mary Ann and husband Chuck. Loving Grandpa to Larry, Mark, Dean, Angela, Josh, Skye, Jessica, Lauren, Heather, Zack, Jason, Caitlin and Great-Grandpa to 12. Reunited with his late grandson Cory (1983). He will be missed by sister in law Rita Angus and late husband Al, and brother in law Jim Harling and wife Denise. Predeceased by brother Herbert and wife Sue. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Gus was an active member of Most Precious Blood Church and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 255. He retired after many years of employment with the Windsor- Detroit Tunnel. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Sunday 3:30 pm. A Veterans service under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee will take place Sunday at 7:30 pm. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd. at Tecumseh Rd. E.) for visitation from 9 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, donations to Hospice Residential Home would be appreciated.
