Obituary of Jennie Stanciu

STANCIU Jennie (nee Cojocari) Loved by all who knew her, our Mom passed peacefully on December 9, 2010 at Riverside Place at the age of 94 years. Born in Kayville, Saskatchewan on February 28, 1916, Beloved wife of the late George ( October 31, 1984). Loving mother of Lawrence (Sandra), Nicky, Dennis (Chris), and Marilyn. Beloved "Bonica" of Dana, Megan (Patrick), David (Ann), Ivy (Darren), Vanessa (Steve), and "Great Bonica" to Riley and Jacob Robitaille, Katie Stanciu, and Eric and Jack Morgan. Mom was the fifth oldest of 21 Cojocari Children. Survived by sisters Dora Avram, and sister-in-law Mary (Elie) Cojocari. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Windsor and Saskatchewan. Jennie will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Riverside Place for the care and compassion shown to our mom over the past 5 years, and especially to Dr. David McVinnie and the staff of Henry Ford Hospital, for making the past 5 years possible. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Friday December 10, 2010 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to celebrate Jennie's life will take place on Saturday December 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Rev. Father Simeon Catau officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
