Obituary of Stella Mary Chapski

CHAPSKI Stella Mary (Nee Pacholok) While vacationing in Florida, Stella passed away on December 8, 2010 at the age of 75 years after suffering for many years with chronic diabetes and heart disease. Stella was a sweet, loving and dedicated wife of 53 years, to her loving and compassionate caregiver husband, Donald. Stella was a wonderful and kind mother to her children John Chapski; Donald and wife Anita Chapski; and Marie and husband Andy Spadafora. She was the silly, funny and fantastic Baba to her grandchildren, Julia, Stephen and Nicholas Spadafora. Thank-You to all of the Paramed Home Care Health Staff, including nurses and personal support workers; Nella, Shirley, Joyce, Katherine, Roseanna, and Nancy. All of you were like family to us, and enabled us to properly take care of our "Stella the Star". Special thanks to all of Stella and Don's lifelong friends and relatives for sharing the happy times and helping through the times that were more difficult, especially the Hromi, Kuba and Skally families. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Sunday December 12, 2010 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Panakhyda Sunday at 7:30 pm. The family will receive friends at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (1505 Langlois Avenue at Shephard) on Monday December 13, 2010 for visitation from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Rt. Rev. Fr. Eugene Halitsky officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association, The Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Sts.
