Obituary of Armando D'Agnillo

D'AGNILLO Armando Passed away, following a courageous struggle, with family members at his side on Tuesday November 9, 2010 at Windsor Regional Hospital Centre at the age of 80 years.Armando leaves us while in his 50th year of marriage to his loving wife and soulmate, Maria Letizia Agnese (nee Lemme). Loving father of Flora D'Agnillo of Windsor; and Mike D'Agnillo of Vaughan, Ontario. Father-in-law of Dale Burt. Special and Caro Nonno to Madelin, Gabriella and Isaac Burt-D'Agnillo. Dear son of the late Michele Raffaele and Fiorina D'Agnillo, and son in law of the late Antonio and Giovannina Lemme . Dear brother of the late Angiolina Pannunzio and late husband Angelo; the late Cristanziano and his late wife Teresina; the late Vincenza and surviving husband Ercolino Pannunzio , of Italy; Mercede and husband Moretto Mastronardi of Leamington; Enrico D'Agnillo and wife Gina of Windsor; and Giacinto D'Agnillo and wife Anna of Italy. Dear brother-in-law of Maria and her late husband Guido Serafini; Carmela and husband Michelino Serafini; Concetta and husband Luigi Bucci, all of Italy, and the late Filippo, Michele and Giuseppe Lemme. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy, France and Canada. Armando was retired following many years of service as a construction worker in our community, as well as a member of Union Local 625. Armando had been a member of the Caboto Club for nearly 40 years, and will be missed by many neighbours and acquaintances, that had the pleasure of knowing him as a friend. Mr. D'Agnillo, along with his loving wife Maria Letizia were also members of the San Francesco di Paola, and the Madonna S.S. del Rosario Societies. The family would like to thank the staff on 4 West at Windsor Regional Hospital for their "Amazing Care", your kindness, compassion and service will never be forgotten. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME ( MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Wednesday November 10, 2010 from 7-9 pm, and on Thursday from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Thursday at 8:00 pm. Funeral Service Friday November 12, 2010 at 8:45 from the funeral home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
