Obituary of Franklin Alexander Dow

DOW, Franklin "Frank" Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at University Hospital, London, Ontario, on November 5. 2010. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Slogan). Cherished father of his three great kids, Frank and wife Michelle Dow, Heather and husband John Hunt, Krista and husband Chris Vander Park and a late son and daughter. Beloved grandpa to Ethan, Skye, Dallas, Dayne, Keely and Cayden. Predeceased by parents Mervin and Laura (Brunelle) Dow. Dear brother to Norm and wife Gloria, of Blenheim, Ralph, of Blenheim, Bea Vatteuer and Ila Slogan, of Kingsville, Nora and husband Gary Sheehan, of Belle River, and Marilyn Muijy, of B.C. Brother-in-law to Bill and wife Bonnie Slogan, the late Jim and George Slogan, Gail Foster, of Brampton and Susan Gilligan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Frank was retired from Chrysler's after 32 years of dedicated service, and was a very strong union person for CAW Local #444. He also spend many hours working and supporting the Goodfellows Association. He will be greatly missed by his Wednesday garage card club. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (MAIN CHAPEL), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Parish prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are requested to meet Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd.) until time of Funeral Mass at 10 :00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Goodfellows would be appreciated by the family.
