Obituary of Giuseppe Anthony Marra

MARRA, Giuseppe (Joe) October 23, 1953 - October 28, 2010 It is with the utmost sadness that I have to announce the passing of my wonderful friend and husband of 29 years. Joe had the fight and tenacity of a warrior. After a courageous and lengthy battle, Joe succumbed to his illness. He passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife after visiting with many family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents Serafino (1998) and Rosa Marra (2000), father-in-law Allan Ferguson (1999) and mother-in-law Patricia Ferguson (2010). Joe is survived by his loving wife Patti, his daughters Jessica and Elizabeth, his siblings Sarah Prantera (St. Catherines), Pasquale Marra (Brampton), Tony and Denise Marra (Colorado) and Cathy Marra (Windsor). Brother-in-law to Tye and Gail Patrick, Ken and Judy Ferguson, Al and Pat Ferguson and Nancy Radigan. Dear uncle to Roseanne, Joe, Frank, Gina, Roseanne, Angela, Paola, Tony, Ben, Lisa, Maria, Danny, Jillian, Keith, Troy, Jason and Jeff. Thank you to the nurses in the HDGH Renal Dialysis Unit for their hard work and dedication and a special thank you to Dr. Kadri, Paula, Evelyn and Angie. Also thanks to special Comcare nurses Agnus and Marta, Dr. McLeod, Dr. Rajkumar and their staff for everything they have done for Joe over the years. Special thanks to our family and friends who gave their continuous love and support. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. on Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Under the auspices of Windsor Veteran's Memorial Committee a veteran service will be held on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. In kindness donations can be made to HDGH Renal Dialysis Unit, Hospice of Windsor, the Downtown Mission or the Humane Society.
