Obituary of Katarina Markovic

MARKOVIC, Katarina (nee Krmpotic) May 14, 1923 to October 13, 2010 Senj-Croatia Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Windsor, Ontario "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take - but - the number of moments that take our breath away". Our beloved Mother - Nanic had so many precious, beautiful and happy moments in her life - that took her breath away, but the last one was seeing the light and meeting the Lord. She heard the call surrounded by her beloved family, said a silent prayer, kissed The Apples of her Eyes, her daughters "Curice" Bibi and Brankic, beloved grandchildren Boris and wife Stephanie, Karen and husband Jeff and Gordon; dearest son-in-laws Miron and Jurica. She sent a kiss to her "Male Srecice" Sylvia and Max and her beloved sisters Durda - Croatia, Natalina - Switzerland, her nephew Dino and to her dear family and friends in her home country, Croatia-Hrvatska. Her beloved husband and soul mate Josip (1983) her dear parents Juliana (1967) and Stjepan (1942) her beloved sister Marija and her brother-in-law Dragan (1960) - welcomed her in Heaven. Nasa "Senjska Bura", nas ponos nas smisao Zivota - nasa voljena mama - nanic - zauvijek ostaje u nasim srcima. Volimo te mama, srecice nasa. E on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Sunday at 8 p.m. Funeral services on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
