Obituary of Rosie Vlasic

VLASIC, Rosie It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ruzica (Rosie) Vlasic on October 2, 2010 at the age of 79. Beloved mother to Lillian (Kenneth) Dueck and beloved grandmother to Genevieve and Jerome Pellerin of Prince George, BC. Predeceased by her husband Vido Vlasic in 1981 in Windsor, Ontario and by her father: Mako, mother: Mara; brothers: Nikola (Milka) and sister: Verica (Tomica) of Croatia. Survived by her beloved nephews: Ivica, Franje and Vlado of Croatia and their families. Rosie was born near Karlovac, Croatia on August 25, 1931. She emigrated to Windsor, Ontario in 1958 and married Vido in 1962. They had one child, Lillian. Rosie worked as a homemaker, part-time housekeeper and at the Thomas Canning Factory for many years. In 1998 Rosie moved to Prince George, BC to be close to her daughter, Lillian and family. We were so blessed to have her nearby for her last twelve years of life. Rosie will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Vido Vlasic. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery (1250 Lillian Street).
