Obituary of Angelo Carroccia

CARROCCIA, Angelo Born May 8, 1930 in Lenola Latina, Italy died October 1, 2010 at the age of 80 years, after a valiant battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Assunta (Marrocco) with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage. Very proud and much loved father of Maria and husband Jamie, Joe and wife Joelle, John and wife Lorna and Anna and husband Mike Ciacelli. Adored Nonno of Kyle, Kathryn, Chloe, Christian, Matthew, Alex and Erica. Fratello di Filomena Marrocco e marito Angelo (2001), Maria Dimanno (2010) e marito Biagio, Alfredo and moglie Nina Carroccia, Immacolata e marito Angelo Antogiovanni, Natalina e marito Onorato Mastrobattista, Salvatore e moglie Paolina Carroccia. Linducia e marito Gino Pannozzo (2008) Cognato di Franco Guglietta e moglie Civita (Italy), Salvatore Guglietta e moglie Vittoria. Predeceased by parents Alfonso (1975) and Giusseppina (1984). Genero di Pasqualina Guglietta (1992) and Virginio Marrocco(1936). Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends both in Windsor and Italy. Angelo immigrated to Canada in 1954, and after working in Quebec and Northern Ontario settled in Windsor. He was a certified Crane Operator and a proud member of L.I.U.N.A. Local 625. E. on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parish prayers on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Funeral service on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
