Our love is with you Ann and the kids. It is so difficult to be writing this, I am at lost for words. Dean was always a smiling and joking guy, and had those around him laughing all the time. We had many good times with you and Dean over the years. Jon always enjoyed talking about fishing or boating with Dean, which was always a bond between the guys. Clarissa still has that picture Dean had drawn back in 1988, of a fisherman and his hunting dog, she has it framed. He always said, oh that wasn't a good drawing, but in Clarissa's eyes it was a masterpiece. Jon and I are here for you Ann and that is what friends are for, we love you and we send hugs your and Ryan, Caitlin and Kyle's way. God Bless you all! Love Jon, Mary, Clarissa, Christopher & Chantelle

Anne,Ryan,Caitlyn and Kyle Our heartfelt deepest sympathies go out to all of you during this very difficult time. Dean (your Father) was a great guy who will be truly missed by many. Sarah and I were talking last night about the old times and could not stop laughing. Dean had such a great sense of humour. Many stories of our fishing trips were mentioned as well as grade school and high school stories. All were heartwarming and so very funny. I believe we have these memories for a reason, to cherish and to hold on to for the rest of our lives. Were so lucky to have known Dean and to have him in our lives for such a short time was a blessing. Anne we are only a phone call away, anytime anyplace we will be there for you and the kids. Dean, Thanks for the memories!!!!!! Go Habs!!

Clarissa "Serdachny" Macgregor-Mitchell posted a condolence

Dear Ann & Family I am Jon & Mary Serdachny's oldest daughter. I was so saddened to hear about Dean while at my parents house from Aunt Sarah. I cannot imagine the shock and how you must be feeling right now but I wanted to express my sympathies. Hearing of a tragedy like this really hits close to home especially when I think that he was the same age as my father. I've seen pictures of your children- my goodness are they getting big. Your daughter is so beautiful and your boys look just like their father. We still have the picture that he drew and gave me when I was a little girl. Although it's been many years, the memories of when I was young are with me always. And I know that the memories you have will be with you always. I know that person never "gets over" something like this, but with time, the love and memories, the heart learns to continue living life to the fullest and the pain begins to lessen. Our sincere sympathy Clarissa (and Clint & Cora) Macgregor-Mitchell

Joy Mayerhofer for Jeff Ulman posted a condolence
Monday, January 14, 2019
Dear Ann Nantais and family, My son is Jeff Ulman. He has multiple disablities and lives in a condo operated by Community Living. I first met Dean last year when he took Jeff & others camping. Dean helped me/us set up Jeff's tent and assured me Jeff would be well cared for. When I returned to pick Jeff up from camp 5 days later all of Jeff's equipment (cot, sleeping bag, tent, wheelchair, walker) were taken down and neatly put in a pile for Jeff & I to take back to the condo. Dean & I hardly spoke, but in his kind smile I knew Jeff was well cared for... just as Dean said. Throughout the year I saw Dean less than a half a dozen times but knew him to be a kindhearted man. Jeff cannot go to the funeral home as funerals are very hard for him. But know that he will be missed A LOT by Jeff and I Our warmest thoughts and wishes are sent your way at this time in your lives. Kindest personal regards, Jeff Ulman and I.
