Obituary of Vlado Bicanic

BICANIC, Vlado "Walter" Born February 14, 1929, in Brinje Lika Croatia, passed away suddenly May 15, 2010, at 81 years of age. Beloved husband of Angie (Simac) for the past 54 years. Survived by many relatives from Croatia: sister Katica, niece Marija, nephew Vlado, cousin Stanta Leo, Ann Leo and family. Brother-in-law of Mirko Simac and wife Eda, of Toronto. Walter was godfather to Kumovi Koscis and Kumovi Vranic, of Windsor. He was predeceased by his father Niko, mother Marija and brothers Ivan and Marko, all from Brinje Lika Croatia. Walter retired from Chrysler Canada, in 1986 and was a member of CAW Local 444. He was a very loving, caring and giving man. Walter was always able and willing to help all his friends and neighbours, he was a great man and will be sadly missed. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Monday, May 17, 2010, from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at the Funeral Home, then will proceed to Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
