Obituary of Rose Quint

QUINT Rose (nee Manherz) Passed peacefully with her family keeping vigil by her side, on May 6, 2010 at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife of 53 years to Frank Quint. Loving mother of Frank J. Quint and wife Caroline (Hubert); Joanne Johnson and friend Russ Reynolds; Gerry Quint and wife Brenda (Meloche); and Julie Worsley, all of Essex County. Loving grandmother to Eric, Adam, and Joy Johnson; Joseph, Christian and Lukas Quint; and Natalie Worsley and Olivia Quint. Loving great-grandmother to Joshua Johnson. Predeceased by her father, Joseph Manherz (1959), her mother Katherina (1989), her father-in-law Mathias Quint, (1967), and mother-in-law Eva Quint (1992). Dear sister of Julia Stiller and husband Joe; Joe Manherz and wife Shirley; John Manherz and wife Mary Margaret; Katherine Cowan and husband Wilfred; Rudy Manherz and wife Maryann; Nick Manherz and wife Mary Lu; and the late Frank Manherz (1978), and his late wife Betty (2001). Dear sister-in-law of the late Elizabeth Tellier (2000), and her late husbands Paul Tellier (1997), and Clifford Walton (1956), the late Anthony Quint (2006) and late wife Anne (2007). Special friend to her cousin Katie Quint. Many nieces and nephews will miss Aunt Rose. Rose was an active member of St. Michaels Roman Catholic Parish in Windsor, where she celebrated 50 years of secretarial sevice on May 5, 2010. She was a tremendous supporter of the Divine Mercy Devotion as well as Perpetual Adoration. She was also a member of the following: The Blue Army, The Catholic Women's League, The Secular Franciscan (Third) Order, The Association of the Marian Helpers, Society of the Little Flower, The National Shrine of Our Lady's Rosary Makers, and was a sponsor of Semenarians of Salesian Vocation. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, especially the nursing care on the 2nd Floor. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Sunday May 9, 2010 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed on Sunday at 3:00 pm, and Parish and C.W.L. prayers will also take place on Sunday at 8:00 pm.The family will receive friends on Monday May 10, 2010 at St. Michaels German Catholic Church (2153 Parkwood, South of Tecumseh Rd., East) for visitation from 9:30 am until time of funeral mass to celebrate Rose's life at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to The Assumption Heritage Trust Foundation.
