Obituary of Mary Ann Cascadden
CASCADDEN, Mary Ann (nee Kerekes) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the age of 79, at Hospice Village of Windsor. Mary is survived by her sons Bruce and wife Cindy, Brian, Brad and wife Denise and Brent and wife Cindy. Special Gram to Matthew and Dana. We will all miss her wisdom, insight and her sometimes quirky ways, but she always meant well. You could always count on Mom/Gram to drop everything and come to your rescue or offer you her last dime. Mom never drove but if you ever needed her, she thought nothing of hopping on the nearest bus to come over to help. Mary worked for many of the top lawyers in Windsor through her career as a Legal Secretary and Estates Administrator and will always be known for her meticulous work and strong work ethic and was the last of her kind who knew shorthand. Mary loved to have a good time, loved nature and her rides in the country. Our thanks goes out to the many medical staff that assisted her and us throughout the years of her illness. Special thanks goes out to the Windsor Cancer Clinic and Doctors Mathews and Kizis. Thank you to Debbie Paltridge and Marilyn Scratch of C.C.A.C. but we have to give very special thanks to all the angels at Hospice of Windsor who treated our mom like she was theirs. We thank them for their patience with us during our Saturday Hockey Night in Canada get togethers. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. No words can express our true thanks. You were so right Debbie, Thank You! At Mary"s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. You can honour Mary will a donation to Hospice of Windsor on her behalf. Arrangements entrusted to the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, We'll miss you. You'll forever be in our hearts.
