Obituary of Marie Anne Birkner

BIRKNER, Anne (nee: Sinkevitch) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother Anne (Baba) on Easter Sunday April 4, 2010. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Martin (1974), Father, Nicholas Sinkevitch (1957) and Mother Mary Cushneruk (1942). Survived by her children, Son Michael Birkner and wife Terri, Daughter Maria and husband Giulio Malandruccolo. Devoted Grandmother of Juliette and Bob Boyle, Anne and John McNeil, Natalie Malandruccolo, Michelle and Robert Devine, Rochelle Birkner and Pat O'Halloran, Cindy and Jason Simms, Wendy and Ryan MacEachern, Marty Birkner and Amanda. Great-Grandchildren Ryan, Amanda, Eric, Beverly, Bobby, Bradley, Makayla, Tiffany, Hannah, Devon and Dustin. Great-great Grandchild Connor. Sister-in-law of Olga Sinkevitch, and special sister Pat Hilton. Loving Aunty B. of many nieces and nephews. Greeting Anne in Heaven are brothers Mike, John, Nicky and Alex Sinkevitch along with Sisters-in-law Lily, Vicky and Eleanore Sinkevitch. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parish prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd. @ Tecumseh Rd. E.) for visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Anne was a very special and proud 75 year member of the Catholic Women's League and an honorary member of the St. Joseph Manor Guild. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church Women's League, or Transition to Betterness in honour of or Mother, will be greatly appreciated by her family.
