Obituary of Caterina Belcastro

BELCASTRO, Caterina (nee Olivito) 78 years. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved Wife, Mother and Nonna on March 28, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Giovanni (2005). Loving and devoted mother of Dominic, Saverio and wife Cindy, and Salvatore; all of Windsor, and Tony of California. Cherished Nonna to John, Jason and wife Melissa, Giovanni Desmond and fianc"e Amber Elizabeth, Matthew, Megan and great grandson Ethan. Dear sister of the late Antonio Olivito and surviving wife Caterina. Dear sister-in-law to Maria Rosa Belcastro of Windsor and late husband Rosario (2003), Rosaria Verardi and husband Francesco, Francesco Belcastro and wife Assunta; both of Michigan and predeceased by sister in-law Giulia Belcastro and Salvatore Belcastro (2001) and surviving wife Teresa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Caterina lived for her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by its members, and you would never leave Nonna's house without a full stomach. Nonna loved to cook for all. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parish prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services on Wednesday March 31, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. from the Windsor Chapel then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
