Obituary of Rena Louise Tonello

TONELLO, Rena Louise R.N. (nee Canil) Born September 23, 1927. Passed away peacefully on March 16, 2010, surrounded by family. Reunited with her caring husband Gino (2009). Devoted mother of Donna & Gary Barbesin and Warren & Martha Tonello. Cherished Nonna to David, Alan, Michelle, Matthew, Lisa (Marc Beaulieu), Angela and Mary Kate. Predeceased by her parents Christopher and Teresa Canil. Dear sister to Rita Willis and late husband Roy and predeceased by siblings John Canil and surviving wife Jean, Inez Bonato and surviving husband John, Rose and husband Norman Tonello. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rena was a retired nurse from Hotel Dieu Hospital after 27 years of dedicated service. According to Rena's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Rena's life will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave. at Erie St. E.) at 9:30 a.m. Committal services to follow immediately at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
